Some riders think that all snowboards are the same.  They think that boards can be used to get down the mountain no matter how old or new the board.  That is simply not true.  There are a lot of things that go into snowboarding these days.  One of them is the opportunity for the boards to go through an extensive tech review.  Most snowboarding companies rely on their in house experts to create a real and hard core review of all of their boards and from the materials down to the edges.  

Each company whether, Gun, Burton, Ride, Lib Tech or others has a professional technician on hand to review all of the new models and their technologies.  One really good example of this is Burton.  They are the big players on the block when it comes to snowboarding, but yo
u can bet that they have a team dedicated to the tech of their boards bindings and boots.  All things snowboarding do not escape the watchful eye of these technicians.  That is the their job and you can bet that they are committed to our doing the competition.  Their lively-hood depends on it.

The company at the top of this list is Burton.  They have always pioneered the newest in the industry.  A lot of their budget goes in to R&D.  I am a rider of Burton snowboards and I think that every rider new or old should try them out if they have not in the past.
