Young children and martial arts

Martial Arts is so much more than just kicking and punching. Small children ages 3 and up have an ability assimilate an insurmountable amount of information and teachings.

When given the opportunity to experience Martial Arts at a young age, they are able to learn how to focus much better and, over time, will develop the ability to follow detailed and lengthy instructions without difficulty. By the time the child enters into Pre-K and

Kindergarten, he/she will have developed the ability to sit still for 30 minutes and actually listen to the teacher.

As parents we have to do our best to prepare our children for what is yet to come and, if we begin to expose and teach them at an early age, their chances of success are so much greater. So, when one ponders upon “should I, or should I not get my child into the Martial Arts”? The obvious answer would be “YES, YOU should”!
